Rabbi Joy Levitt

Rabbi Joy Levitt is the founder and visionary behind the Jewish Journey Project. Formerly a congregational rabbi, she is the Executive Director of the JCC Manhattan.

Rabbi Lori Forman-Jacobi

Rabbi Lori Forman-Jacobi is the Director of JJP. She has worked in Jewish education for over 24 years, heading both a community congregational school and two Hebrew high schools.

Orlee Krass

Orlee Krass

Orlee Krass is a state certified special education teacher in New York and New Jersey and is currently the Education and Inclusion Specialist at the Jewish Journey Project. In this role Orlee works closely with JJP’s educators leading professional development and acting as a primary resource of children and families in order to create successful, supportive learning environments for all children at JJP.

After eight years teaching students with a wide range of special needs at elementary schools in Manhattan and the Bronx Orlee began her career in Jewish special education as the Director of Education at Matan, a non-profit organization that advocates for Jewish students with special needs, empowers their families and educates Jewish leaders, teachers and communities so that all Jewish children have access to a rich and meaningful Jewish education. In addition to her work with JJP and Matan, Orlee is the Tikvah Director at Camp Ramah in the Poconos and the National Tikvah Network Coordinator for the Ramah Camping Movement.

Jess Lenza

Rabbi Jess Lenza

Rabbi Jess Lenza is the Education Associate for Education and Family Engagement for JJP. Jess recently received rabbinical ordination from Hebrew College. She served as the rabbinic intern for Congregation Ahavas Achim in Newburyport and as the Beit Rabban and Mishpachot Coordinator for Temple Beth Zion in Brookline. Rabbi Jess is also a musician and you can listen to some of her recordings and learn more about her on her website www.rabbilenza.com. She is honored to join the Jewish Journey Project.
